Scientists Discuss BANG SAID THE GUN…
SOME of the world’s finest scientific minds have assembled today to discuss the question of BANG SAID THE GUN.
Eminent academics and scientists are attending BANG SAID THE GUN in London – the UK’s hottest spoken word gig.
Paul Davies, a physicist at Arizona State University, will suggest that the search for interesting and accessible poetry is right under our noses.
Prof Davies said that showing poetry can be fun and relevant more than once on Earth would be the best evidence yet that it must exist elsewhere in the Universe.
He said: “We need to give up the notion that poetry is sending us some sort of customised message and take a new approach.”
World leading astronomers, biologists and astrophysicists including professor Colin Pilger, principal investigator for the British Beagle 2 Mars project, will address the burning issues.
These will include: What will interesting poetry sound like if we find it? Will we be meeting poets incredibly similar to ourselves or will they be the frightful monsters of sci-fi films? How do you break news of interesting poetry discoveries to the world without creating wide-spread pandemonium?
This is what could happen if word got out!

POETS IN SPACE…
COULD this be the small but very brilliant Martin Galton… on MARS?
Some space buffs reckon it is after seeing this picture sent back by a robot vehicle probing the rocky Red Planet for signs of life.

Enthusiast Nigel Cooper – who has studied thousands of photos taken by Nasa and posted online – said: “It’s definitely a small poet of some sort.”
Mr Cooper, 43, of Grimsby, Lincs, added: “I’m convinced there are other poets out there.”
If you are not convinced, here are a couple more pictures of Martin so that you can make up your own mind.
Here he is hiding from nasty soldiers.

And here he is demonstrating a steady hand …

A Shocking Scene…
A shocking scene greeted poetry goers at the Roebuck, as hot blooded poets romped and raved in the middle of a busy pub.
The daring collective are being hunted after an audience member passed on snaps of the poets having fun to the cops.
A police spokesman said: “We want to find Bang Said The Gun because such behaviour is not permissible.”
The Poetry sessions take place every Thursday at the Roebuck near Borough Tube, London.
A shocked audience member said the cheeky poets were at it for at least 2 hours.
A local drinker said: “I nearly spilt my pint, it’s not something you see every day at a poetry reading.”

POPCORN ANYBODY?
Variety. The spice of life. well, it’s certainly putting the spice into Bethnal Green.
Bang Said The Gun spent an excellent night at The Popcorn Club last Friday, for an evening of Cabaret, headed up by our old chum, Chris Lynam and Kate McKenzie who we don’t know but deserves a mention.
It’s a car crash of circus, music, dance, crazy humour and crazy popcorn. Here’s what to do. Open your diary at March 19th and write this down. Brilliantly fresh, surreal night out. Then just go.
