Another night of BANG!!!

Another great night was had by all down at BANG SAID THE GUN.

AF HARROLD entertained all the gunslingers with stories from his deliciously irreverent world. He applauded the loud and enthusiastic audience, the high quality of all the other performers and the general Bang spirit that everyone brings to the event.

The Tequila Shot Open Mic was won by the brilliant MARK NIEL – see him take the stage next week with the fantastic ZENA EDWARDS + JACOB SAM LA ROSE.

Thanks Gunslingers – you made it another special night for spoken word and Bang Said The Gun.

WHAT THE PROPER PAPERS SAY

Dear Dan Frost, You are the most perceptive, brilliant, gorgeous journalist of our age. Thank you and thank you again.
BSTG PRESS 1

Laugh…I thought my trousers would never dry…

Yes indeedy, the launch of our new comedy night seems to have gone off with, well, a BANG. Here’s what one discerning critic said…

“what a fantastic night, I was still laughing on the way home. Comedy as it should be. Can’t wait for the next one…”

Thank you Spencer Hayes, you too are beautiful, just beautiful.

John Moloney on the radio

West Ham loving John Moloney will be on Talk Sport radio this tuesday between 1pm-2pm, talking about all things claret and blue and our new comedy night, starting this Wednesday 20th. Raw Meat comedy, featuring John Moloney, Nick Wilty and Addy van der Borgh. Showtime 8.30.

HOROVITZ V COELHO

Who’s best. Michael Horovitz or Joe Coelho? There’s only one way to find out… FIGHT.

Unlike Harry Hill, we’ll avoid the usual rules of knockout and let them slug it out with words instead. This Thursday 21st Jan at Bang Said The Gun. Ringside seats available.
See POETRY GIGS for details…

Bang Brilliance!!!

Bang Said The Gun kicked off 2010 with brilliant sets from NIALL O’SULLIVAN + PAUL BIRTILL.
The Tequila Shot Open Mic was won by the very lovely TINA QUEEN. See her next Thursday along side MICHAEL HOROVITZ + JOE COELHO. Check out the Poetry Gigs page for more deatils…
BRILLIANT!!!

Paul Birtill angst

Apparently, Paul Birtill is too creepy for Radio 4. Personally, I find Paul painfully funny and a brilliant performer. Paul drifted into poetry when he was going through the tricky process of being a teenager. These days he is a self confessed heavy drinker and smoker which is fine of course, but my angst is whether he’ll actually make it up the stairs for Bang Said The Gun tomorrow night. Is it too late to put in a Stannah?

Bang Said The Gun Thursday 14th Jan.

All the usual stuff, plus Paul Birtill and Niall  O’sullivan.

Time, 8pm

Admission, £5/£3 on the door.

See you there.
